邓迪大学（University of Dundee，简称UoD）始创立于1881年，是一座坐落于苏格兰邓迪市的世界一流著名研究型大学，2014/15年QS世界大学综合排名前1%精英大学，2017年TIMES世界大学排名第180位，世界高校科研影响力Top100,科研水平在欧洲以及全球有着极高的声誉。连续六年（2010-2016）苏格兰大学满意度第一。2018年TIMES世界排名187位，2018年TIMES英国大学排名第23位，英国《卫报》大学排名第24位。邓迪大学在许多领域具有世界一流水平，其中最为突出的学科领域包括：生命科学、医学、金融、会计、法律、建筑、艺术与设计、材料科学、工程。其中在生命科学、艺术设计、教育学领域居全球Top100。邓迪大学的教学质量和科研水平均名列英国前茅，2017年由英国皇家教育部颁布的TEF评选中，被评为“金奖大学”，2014英国女王年度奖章-高等教育杰出贡献奖。
现有学生18,000人，教职工3000人，学校在2005年被《泰晤士报》评为全英教学质量第一名，其中社会服务、生命科学、数学、生物科技和建筑专业被评为全英前十，邓迪大学名誉校长詹姆士·怀特·布拉克爵士（Sir James Whyte Black，1924年7月14日－2010年3月22日）曾经在大学学院读医学，发明药物心得安（普萘洛尔Propranolol）和合成出甲氰咪胍（Cimetidine）。他因这些成就而在1988年获颁赠诺贝尔医学奖。
